Custom Bent Aluminum Tube Display Project

The Sharpe Team just finished a custom bent and fabricated trade show display meant to hold motors. The display was bent out of 3″ O.D. aluminum tubing (base arms) and also 1-1/2″ O.D. aluminum tubing (top of display for signage). All the shaped base and arm plates are 3/8″ thick aluminum. The complete display was then polished with a #4 satin finish. Our customer then put a diamond plate finish on the top of the plates.

The taller back arms of this display were bent out of 1-1/2" O.D. aluminum tubing. The main arms that hold the aluminum plates were bent out of 3" O.D. aluminum tubing.

All aluminum plates and bent aluminum tubing were also fabricated together in Sharpe Products facilities.

Customer then put a diamond plate type finish on the plates and installed their clients signage to complete the final look

Finished bent and fabricated product in use at the EASA Trade Show.

This grandfather clock by Infinity Art Furnishings is over 6ft. tall! Stock stainless steel balls are used as an ornamental application and a hemisphere is used for the base of the clock. Click on image for more from Infinity Art Furnishings!

Michael HIggins from Creative Design in Metal uses Sharpe's hollow steel balls along with rectangle and round tubing to make his sculptures.

"The Red Blade" by Michael Higgins from Creative Design in Metal also uses hollow steel balls provided by Sharpe Products.

Nissin 3D Tube Bender Used for Many Bending Applications

The Nissin tube bender is ideal for complex parts for production of prototypes, high volume production, and ornamental applications. Watch the video!

The Nissin 3D tube bender offers extraordinary advantages over conventional tube bending machines. With the Nissin a tube is continuously guided through a single die according to the programmed specifications. This single die technology offers flexibility in part design which is unmatched by other forms of bending.

Advantages using this bender over conventional tube benders include:

The ability to produce multi-radii parts without additional tooling.
This greatly reduces project costs for the customer.
Little to no distance required between bends.
Ability to produce angles greater than 180 degrees.

Minimal set-up and lead times are achieved for even the most complex parts making this bender ideal for the production of prototypes to high volume production. Sharpe Products Unison CNC 130mm all-electric tube bender can bend pipe or tube up to 5″ O.D. With its unique capabilities such as high accuracy and repeatability high quality bent tube products are produced. This machine includes multi-radius stacking and rolling, and hole punching capabilities. reduced set-up times, and reduced scrap resulting in cost-effective products for our customers.

In this video you can see the stacking capability being utilized for this part. It is a complex bend using 3″ O.D. stainless steel tubing being bent on a 3″ center line radius.
